About me
Corto
Benzoni
I walked the path before you, mistakes included. That is what allows me to guide you along yours.
I did not come to running as a champion. I came to it with fifteen years of combat sports, a job as an ergonomist, and the will to do things properly. Yet on my own, I made just about every mistake there is. That journey, step by step, is what I now put at your service.

The ergonomics of physical activity
Engineering and Ergonomics of Physical Activity, at Aix-Marseille University: understanding how the body copes with effort, at work as well as in training.

Ergonomist in Switzerland
Workstation design adviser in the cantons of Vaud, Fribourg and Valais, working with people who spend their days sitting, with no physical activity. That is where I started running.
- The mistakes
Alone, then coached
Too fast, too soon, no strength work: six months without running after my first race. The day I got a coach, everything changed.

The observation
What changes everything
is having someone by your side.
In every sport, the people who improve have someone next to them: to say when to push, when to ease off, and when a pain deserves a stop.
In running, we think it is normal to go it alone. We download a plan, we hang on, and when it gets hard, we think it is our own fault.
It is almost never motivation that is missing, nor commitment. What is missing is an outside eye, and someone who keeps track with you between sign-up and the finish line.
Four situations come up almost every time. If you recognise yourself in them, you are not alone.
- 01
You sign up on a whim
A photo, a friend, the urge to prove something to yourself. It is a wonderful reason to start. But the excitement of the first evening is not enough to carry you through twelve weeks, and that is nobody's fault.
- 02
There is no shortage of advice
It is everywhere, and often right. But it speaks to everyone, and therefore to no one: none of it knows your week, your schedule or your history.
- 03
Nobody looks at where you are starting from
Whole days spent sitting, no physical activity, an old injury, short nights: it all counts. A sedentary life does not show, yet we ask that same posture to absorb three runs a week, with no transition.
- 04
So you get injured, or you give up
And you tell yourself you are not made for running. That is almost always wrong: it was not you, it was the path that was missing.
I lived it before offering it to youI ran alone, and I made those mistakes one by one. The day someone coached me, everything changed. That is what I want to spare you.
Horizon was born from that observation. On one side the training, on the other everything around it: work, posture, recovery. I look at both, with you.
