Data
protection

This English translation is provided for information only. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

This policy describes which data is processed, why, for how long, and what your rights are. It is drawn up in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, revised, in force since 1 September 2023) and, for people residing in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Last updated: 3 October 2026

In short

1. Data controller

Corto Benzoni, trading as HORIZON
Route Aloys-Fauquez 56, 1018 Lausanne, Switzerland
Email: contact@horizonrun.ch · Phone: +41 76 436 61 62

Given the size of the business, appointing a data protection officer is not required. Any question about your data can be sent directly to Corto Benzoni.

2. Data processed when you simply browse the website

Browsing the website requires no registration and triggers no processing on our part. Like any web server, however, the host records the technical logs needed for operation and security:

Purpose: keeping the website available, diagnosing faults, detecting abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 31 FADP; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are kept by the host for a limited period, around 30 days, according to its own policy. The host derives overall visitor statistics from them (number of visits, pages viewed, referring sites, countries), which Corto Benzoni consults to improve the website; they are never used to identify a visitor.

Host: Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias, Geneva, Switzerland.

3. Cookies and trackers

This website sets no cookies and uses neither Google Analytics, nor Matomo, nor the Meta pixel, nor any embedded social sharing button. No consent banner is therefore needed.

The fonts (Big Shoulders Display, Archivo, JetBrains Mono, SIL Open Font License 1.1) are served from this server. Unlike loading them from Google Fonts, your IP address is not passed on to any third party when the pages are displayed.

4. Links to third-party services

The website contains outbound links. As long as you do not click, no data is transmitted. By clicking, you leave this website and enter a third-party service that applies its own terms, over which we have no control.

5. Data processed when you contact us

When you write to us, we process the data you choose to send: name, phone number, email address, content of the message.

Purpose: answering your request and, where applicable, preparing a contract. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest. Retention: 12 months for requests not followed up.

6. Data processed as part of the coaching

If you become a client, the following data is processed:

Sensitive data

Health-related data is sensitive personal data within the meaning of Art. 5(c) FADP (and data of a special category within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR). It is processed only on the basis of your express consent, collected in writing during the initial assessment, and solely to adapt your training safely.

It is never disclosed to a third party without your written consent, including your doctor, physiotherapist or employer. You can withdraw your consent at any time; withdrawal ends the processing for the future and, depending on its scope, may make it impossible to continue the coaching safely.

Purposes: performance of the contract, safe practice, progress tracking, invoicing and compliance with legal accounting retention obligations.

Legal bases: performance of the contract (Art. 31(2)(a) FADP; Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); express consent for health data (Art. 6(7)(a) FADP; Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR); legal obligation for accounting records.

7. Retention periods

8. Recipients and processors

Your data is never sold, rented or exchanged. It may be accessible to the following technical providers, acting as processors:

Data may also be disclosed if required by law or at the request of a competent authority.

9. Transfers abroad

Meta, for WhatsApp exchanges, may process data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided for in Art. 16 and 17 FADP and Art. 44 et seq. GDPR: adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by these providers.

If you wish to avoid any transfer outside Switzerland, use the form, email or phone rather than WhatsApp.

10. Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected devices with disk encryption, access limited to the coach alone, regular backups. As no system offers absolute security, these measures are reviewed periodically.

In the event of a data security breach resulting in a high risk to your rights, you will be informed and the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) will be notified as soon as possible, in accordance with Art. 24 FADP and Art. 33–34 GDPR.

11. Your rights

You have the following rights over your data at any time:

To exercise these rights, write to contact@horizonrun.ch. You will receive a reply within 30 days. Proof of identity may be requested if there is reasonable doubt about the identity of the person making the request; it will be destroyed as soon as the check has been made. Exercising these rights is free of charge.

12. Complaints

If you believe that your data is not being processed in compliance with the law:

We do, however, invite you to contact us first: most questions can be settled directly.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be adapted if the website, the tools used or the legal framework change. The applicable version is the one published on this page. In the event of a substantial change affecting ongoing coaching, the clients concerned will be informed.
